Job Description
Retained search for a Sales Rep/Engineer in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Position will report to the Brazilian Sales Manager and be responsible for specifying lighting controls and shading systems for high end residential and commercial projects throughout Sao Paulo and Southern Brazil. Position will develop and specify projects with building specifiers (architects, engineering firms, lighting and interior designers, building contractors, etc.) and work with distributors, dealers and end users to commission projects. Client is a global leader in the design and manufacture of architectural lighting controls and shading systems for residential, commercial and institutional markests. The company is privately held, highly profitable and growing at approximately 20% per year. It has high quality, state-of-the-art products and a worldwide reputation for excellence.

Successful candidates must have the following background to be considered.
* 4 year University Degree (technical degree preferably architectual, electrical or mechanical)
* Fluency in English and Portuguese.
* Must be currently employed with a minimum of 5 years experience specifying lighting, shading, security, audio/visual, HVAC, or other building automation systems to specifiers (architects, engineering firms, electrical contractors, interior design firms, developers, project owners) in Sao Paulo and Southern Brazil.
* Must have experience working with specifiers on design, layout, specification, quoting and closing high end projects. Must understand and be comfortable with technical specification process.
* Must have experience developing, training and supporting distributors, dealers and agents.
* Confident, creative individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to consistantly develop and work with specifiers on new projects. Must be a strong closer!!!!

Experience specifying products for companies such as Phillips, Siemens, Sony, Sharp, Honeywell, leviton, Schneider, ABB, Bitucino, Cooper, Control 4, LeGrande, AMX, Color Kinetics and Somfy would be excellent backgrounds for this position.
