The Finders Group has an excellent opportunity for an Aftermarket Sales Engineer located in either Chicago, IL or Pittsburgh, PA. Base salary is $75,000 to $85,000 plus an uncapped commission plan.

Aftermarket Sales Engineer 
Position requires a person with 5-10 years of experience in aftermarket or equipment sales in the Air Pollution Control Industry (e.g. scrubbers, air filtration, baghouses), HVAC or Air moving equipment (e.g. Air compressors) or a related field.  The ideal applicant will have worked in a high intensity regional role using data base driven strategies to increase rate of contacts with regional customers

Responsibilities
Responsible for increasing sales in company's Aftermarket using direct sales. Interacts with independent reps and subcontractor partners as needs arise.
Travels to customers in a specific region. Assembles detailed pictures of customer needs. Makes sales presentation using PowerPoint.
Conduct walking assessments at customer sites to identify performance problems, prepare reports for customers on recommended products or solutions.
Interfaces with Engineering and Operations departments to convey new order requirements as orders are received.
Prepares written proposals and quotes, including product benefits for customers.
Attends trade shows and staffs the exhibit booth to present Aftermarket products.
Interface with Engineering, Purchasing, Credit, Accounting, Human Resources and general management as required.
Travel 65% of the time in local region, mainly by car.

Requirements
4 year college degree preferably with demonstrated technical selling skills.
5-10 years in aftermarket parts & services sales or initial industrial equipment sales.
Experience with Microsoft Office and CRM
Able to build a sequence of technical solutions that secure the customer over the long term.
