Join one of the leading Data Center Cooling Solutions Providers Must be currently living / working in York PA (or DC Metro, e.g. Northern VA, DC or Maryland)
This privately held company is the recognized leader in their segment of the mission critical data center space. Were looking for a savvy player in the data center cooling space to come in and help set the future direction of this marquis product line for optimizing data center air flow. If you have a strong grounding in the evolution around the cooling requirements of data centers, and a good handle on current trends and the future direction of energy-efficient mission critical data centers including the various engineering design alternatives for data center air flow this may be your ideal career move.
Responsibilities include: Researching and identifying alternative solutions, best practice strategies and emerging trends for cooling data centers. Developing relationships with other product manufacturers and third party experts serving the data center market, as well as with leading design, contracting and IT facility management vendors. Bring a solutions focus to three key client segments: corporate data centers, third party data centers and telecom firms. Be recognized as a credible and substantive contributor within relevant data center industry forums and organizations (e.g. 451 Group (Uptime Institute), 7x 24Exchange, AFCOM, IFMA, etc.) Represent company in relevant tradeshows, publications, speaking at conferences, etc. Facilitate successful handoff of business opportunities (e.g. project leads, national account opportunities, specific buying agreements, etc.) to sales Success in this position will require extensive research activity, involving potentially significant travel in order to identify and develop relationships and partnerships with End Users / Data Center Owners, and Product Manufacturers. You will also be collecting, analyzing and presenting empirical data -- from both the field and the lab -- in support of specific Project and Product opportunities.
Requirements: Successful candidates will have the following minimum required qualifications and experience: Four year degree in a relevant discipline Minimum of five years professional experience in data center design, planning, construction, or operation (strong preference for candidates who have both technical and sales support experience) Proficient in use of Autocad and Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Powerpoint Preferred: experience in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Modeling
